The label inside violin reads: sigurd overas, 1942 written in pencil kristiansund n and another writing to right of oblong label, rip. It has been fully restored and is in excellent ready to play condition. This is a unique ww ii era 4 violin.

Craftsmanship is a bit crude, but this definitely handcrafted instrument. As the label indicates, violin was either made or repaired in norway at time of ww ii Nazi occupation.
