Details:

Neither dark nor frankly bright it does everything well. It is entirely the personal work of Ernst Heinrich Roth who founded the firm with his cousin Gustav fucker in this is the only violin by Roth that I have ever seen with this level of detail and antiquing. I sent photographs of the violin, brand and label to Wilhelm Roth at the Roth firm in , germany for confirmation of its authenticity.

Although there are some signs of wear from regular use, there are no cracks or repairs. The letter of authenticity printed on archival, acid free, 25 cotton paper from the Roth firm will accompany the sale. It has expansive warmth as well as persuasive brilliance, the ability to blend as well as stand out.

The instruments produced by this firm during the mid 1920s are widely considered by experts to be the golden years when the quality workmanship and materials were the best. This violin is 90 years old and in near mint condition.

The set up is very good making this an easy violin to play and very predictable. The wear, repairs, and 'modernization's', are all intentional and meant to accurate copy all the character of the original.

All the measurements are correct for classical use, as would be expected. Unfortunately the gold inserts in all of the pegs have been lost. The ebony crown over the button and other attributes of genuinely ancient master violins are all present here.

No hassles and no arguments. Look at the hundreds of old violins that have found happy owners. The violin bears a replacement label and the original brand of the Roth firm and the violin's serial number. My violins are as I describe them and well worth the price you pay.

I pack in new, custom made shipping cartons.

I have rarely played a violin that is such a flexible and capable tool yet has the character and maturity of age. He sent me back the following letter this is a one of a kind example of the very best to come from germany's most famous and respected modern maker. It has depth, richness, and a quality of sound that is rarely found even among violins that are considered good.

This is a very well balanced sound. This is a full sized violin.

This is a good opportunity to buy an exceptional and rare antique violin in excellent condition, and ready to play. It is a great violin to play and I recommend it to anyone who has the ability to acquire it.

The back measures 14 inches or 356mm. The apparent cracks on the top and age are simulated fake and were installed when the violin was made to faithfully reproduce the original. This exceptional antique violin, model xi r by Ernst Heinrich Roth is offered for or best offer. It even has retained its originally gold tipped pegs.

Most had the same brand as that found in this violin, with only the names changed. This is truly an exceptional violin. There is some remaining glue from the original label as well as scratch marks that are clearly visible.

Payday hound. The head is grafted and the peg box bushed also done at the time the violin was made.

It is unique in every way and one of a kind.

The violin is loud and powerful with a formidable presence and a solid core. I have never seen such a detailed example with simulated cracks and wear to replicate the repairs on the 1728 Stradivarius that was the model.
