Both instrument and bow need restringing, it comes with the following items pocket music dictionary, resin, 2 styles chin rests, large hard case lined with blue velvet with a humidity dial affixed inside, Suzuki books 1, 2, 3, Irish tunes for young fiddlers, and primary scale studies for the violin.

Of the five set in front of him this was sound he chose. There are minor small scratches to the varnish but nothing effecting the sound. This is a wonderful instrument for a child or an adult.
