Details:

Schweitzer 1813 is a fully hand carved, hand varnished instrument. Amati pestini 1813 violin this is a beautiful jon. The back, sides and neck are carved from solid, highly flamed maple.

It reads the violin labeled jon. The carrying case and inside are in good condition. The bow is in great condition but needs to be restrung.

I will never play this violin, so i'm offering it for sale. Schweitzer violin with no cracks or splits.

The varnish shows some age but, overall, I was told it is in very good condition for being over 200 years old. Schweitzer fecit at forman heironym. I was advised that if the violin were restored, the value would possibly double in price, if not more.

The top is a hand carved medium grained solid spruce. In today's market. The spirit varnish is a highly polished dark brown.
