The little strips of silver and black tape on the neck come off, they were just put on there by teacher to help learn. Comes with bow and hard shell case. Scherl and Roth 15 student violin R101E2a little wear from playing, can be buffed out and refinished but I do not have the tools to do so at the moment, so that would be up to you.
