Unfortunately the case and bow were lost at my old school site so this is for violin only. Currently it is strung with d'Dario prorate synthetic gut Peron strings. I no longer teach orchestra so have little use for the instrument. This Knilling Bucharest violin is very lightly used and in extremely good condition with a minor scratch here there.
If you plan to be competitive in a good high school program or play college, probably need more instrument than this. This model has a solid carved spruce top, and laminated maple back sides, German made bridge, ebony fingerboard tail-piece, ebonies chin rest. It spent most of its time hanging on my band room wall.
The quality of this instrument is easily suitable for beginner through middle school and even longer if player remains at a casual level. Please see all photos. I am a middle school music teacher and bought this instrument to use in demonstrating for my beginning orchestra.
