If you play live in a rock setting, probably want frets. Hard-to-find, barely used, Ns Design Nxt 5-string fretted violin. This is an Nxt-level instrument, which much nicer than the Wave series. This one is gorgeous.
I love this violin, but, loved it so much, ordered a custom Ns cr5 zebra wood violin at 2x the cost to replace it, and can't keep both. See photos for tiny side dings that were there when I bought it new. I let those go because this one had the most beautiful, level horizontal grain pattern seen. Flamed maple sunburst top.
