Pros of buying a YZ1201 Elegant Kit Wood Solid Kinglos Violin:1. Affordable: Compared to professionally made violins, the YZ1201 is relatively inexpensive, making it an excellent option for beginners or those on a budget.
2. Solid wood construction: The violin is made from solid wood, which is known for its rich tone and resonance. This can contribute to a better sound quality than some other beginner violins made from laminated wood.
3. Simple assembly: The kit comes with easy-to-follow instructions, making the violin simple to assemble. This can be a fun and rewarding experience for beginners who want to learn more about their instrument.
4. Customizable: The YZ1201 Kit allows you to customize the finish and appearance of the violin to your liking, giving it a personal touch.
Cons of buying a YZ1201 Elegant Kit Wood Solid Kinglos Violin:1. Quality control issues: Some customers have reported receiving violins with imperfections or inconsistencies, such as uneven strings or misaligned pegs.
2. Tone and playability: While the solid wood construction can contribute to a better sound, the quality of the wood and craftsmanship can still affect the overall tone and playability of the violin. Some beginners may find that the violin requires extra tuning or adjustment to play optimally.
3. No professional setup: The kit does not include a professional setup, which can affect the violin's intonation, action, and overall playability. It may be necessary to pay extra for a professional setup to ensure that the violin plays properly.
Conclusion:The YZ1201 Elegant Kit Wood Solid Kinglos Violin is a good option for beginners or those on a budget who are looking for a solid wood violin with the opportunity to customize its appearance. However, it's important to note that the quality control and overall tone and playability may vary, and a professional setup may be necessary for optimal playability. If you're a beginner, you may want to consider investing in a more expensive violin that comes with a professional setup and guaranteed quality.
Recommendation:If you're a beginner with a tight budget, the YZ1201 Elegant Kit Wood Solid Kinglos Violin can be a good starting point. However, if you're willing to invest a little more, I would recommend considering a higher-end beginner violin that comes with a professional setup and guaranteed quality, such as the Mendini MV300 or the Cecilio CVN-200. These violins may be a bit more expensive, but they are often more reliable and will provide a better playing experience for beginners.
The design is gorgeous and one of the reasons why I brought it, so I am really hoping it finds a good home as it is such a beautiful instrument. The original rosin and bow are with the case, rosin used one time on the same bracelet bow. Kinglos was kind enough to give me 20 off of the price to keep it, and I decided to try it out, but I can't flip the strings, pegs or sound post within the violin. It is solid spruce top, maple back and sides with ebony fingerboard, pegs, tailpiece and chin rest which is not pictured but included.
I originally purchased this instrument for however, I have fitted alpha synthetic strings and have done my best to clean the rosin off of them but some remains, and you can always change the strings at a later time. The kit comes with the extra bridge wrapped under the rosin and steel strings. The sound quality is actually very good loud, vibrant and sturdy when you play. I purchased this time about 3/4 weeks ago from Kinglos on.
It is still in new condition as I have not been able to really play it, only the open strings and some notes. Please consider this wonderful violin, it plays very well for a student violin, and I would like to use this purchase to get an already left handed violin. However, a problem I didn't pay attention to is that I am left handed, and it near impossible to fully flip a violin after it has been crafted.
