A beautiful antique finish with select seasoned maple back, sides and scroll set up by gary ritter this is a very nicely made 4/4 size violin made by Frank Lee, shanghai, china and set up to play by gary ritter. He has continued to improve the materials, workmanship, and tonal characteristics of his violins through a progression of model's sold exclusively in the USA.

His passion has been acoustics and until recently, almost all of his efforts have been made in plate tuning through both traditional tap tones and electronic means. The model's to date have all been new looking, in various colors, evenly applied. Frank Lee violins have been excellent sounding instruments, even and strong in tone, and very well liked by advancing players.

American, Angelina spruce and alpine spruce are used for the tops and American eastern maple and Bosnian maple are used for backs, necks, and ribs.
