If I Haydn't bought a full size one, would have kept this. It has only very minor wear and been slightly improved upon. I imagine any age person could enjoy it. I am a grown adult and used this just because it was so portable sweet sounding.
There is a small dent on the inner front lower scroll not very noticeable its in second to last photo. I did use them for a short while, but they are in great condition and don't need replacing. It comes with a case in very good condition and is from completely smoke free home.
As far improvements, I added wood grain tuning pegs, a new tailpiece and bridge, higher quality flat wound strings, which prefer. This holds its tuning well and is not screechy like some violins. Buyer pays actual shipping, which is cheapest if you live near pa.
This is a lovely 1/2 size violin.
